The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters, has enjoined the National Open University of Nigeria Alumni Association (NOUNAA) to continue to project the positive image of the university wherever they find themselves.
He stated this while playing host to a delegation of the executive members of the body, led by its national president, Muntaka Abdul-Hadi Dabo, who called to congratulate the VC on his appointment.
The Vice-Chancellor, Nile University of Nigeria (NUN), Prof. Nuri Arasi Osman, has requested the new Vice-Chancellor, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Olufemi Peters, to toe the path of his predecessor, who encouraged collaboration between the two institutions.
Osman said the two neighbouring universities have had a fruitful synergy especially in the areas of international academic conferences and Entrepreneurial week.
Apparently satisfied with the National Open University of Nigeria's (NOUN) mode of education, a couple from Minna Study Centre, Mr/Mrs Silas T. Usman said the establishment of the university has created opportunity for people to learn while working adding that nobody has excuse not to be educated.
The couple stated this while fielding questions from NOUN News via telephone call, few days after picking their certificates of first degrees.
Vice-Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Femi Peters, today reiterated his stand on making staff welfare a priority.
He made the pledge during a visit to the NOUN Study centre in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
In his address to the staff of the study centre, the VC acknowledged the hard work being put in by members of staff and assured them that his administration would ensure that everything concerning their welfare would be taken care of.
