Prof. Osuji Expresses Satisfaction on Successful Completion of Conference Marking


The Coordinator, Southeast conference Marking zone and Dean, Faculty of Education (FOE) Prof. Uchenna Sydney Ajunwa Osuji, has expressed his satisfaction on the successful completion of the conference marking exercise.

He disclosed this in a chat with NOUN news correspondent during the 2021_1 conference marking at Enugu Study Centre, Enugu State.

Why we organize training for non-teaching staff – Registrar


The Registrar, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Mr. Felix Edoka, has said the 1-day training organized by the university for the non-teaching staff of all the faculties had aimed to sharpen the knowledge of the staffers to the rudiments of office businesses which are quite different to what was learnt in school.

He said it is practically impossible for any staff to give what he/she doesn’t know, hence the need for refresher trainings to keep them abreast of the day-to-day office activities.

Deputy Registrar monitors conference marking at Enugu centre


The Deputy Registrar, Mrs. Florence Okeke of the Directorate of Examination & Assessment (DEA), has applauded the smooth conduct of the ongoing conference marking exercise.

She disclosed this at Enugu Study Centre where she monitored the ongoing 2021_1 conference marking exercise.

Okeke expressed her satisfaction on the commitment of the subject officers and noted that they were all working assiduously to ensure they meet the stipulated deadline for the assignment.

Covid-19 vaccination in NOUN: No serious complaint yet – Dr. Sule


As the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccination in the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) successfully climaxed at the university headquarters in Abuja on July 2, 2021, the Head of University Clinic, Dr. Hassan Sule has disclosed that there has not been any serious complaint from members of staff who took the jab.

Sule stated this in a brief chat with NOUN News during the second dose of Covid-19 vaccination exercise at the convocation Arena, University headquarters, Jabi, Abuja.

Host community pays familiarity visit to Akure Study Centre


Oba Afunbiowo estate community hosting Akure study centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) on Friday 2nd, July, 2021, paid a familiarity visit to the Centre Director, Prof. Samuel Ogunwale Ogundiran and members of staff.

Pension firm interacts with NOUN staff on retirement plans


The Crusader Sterling Pensions Limited (CSL) has told its contributors in the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) that sequel to the recent updates and developments in the Pension Industry, henceforth only 25% of a Retirement Savings Account (RSA) Fund can be accessed.

The percentage is on the condition of a contributor being jobless for up to four months or in a situation where the contributor is set to relocate to another country.
