The Death has been announced of Mrs Florence Ebun Authe, Mother of Prof. Omolara Nwabueze, (Dean Faculty of Arts, National Open University of Nigeria)

According to family source, the late Mrs. Florence Ebun Authe died on 15th November, 2020, aged 84years.

Late Mrs Authe hails from Okpe, Akoko Edo LGA, Edo State.

Where I'm headed after NOUN - Ex-VC Adamu

A former Vice-Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Abdalla Uba Adamu, has revealed where he is going to be located after his five-year sojourn in Abuja.

Adamu, a Professor of Science Education and Media and Cultural Communication, ended his single-term tenure as VC of NOUN on Thursday, February 11, 2021.

Speculations were ripe that he was going back to his former place of work, Bayero University, Kano.

Peters assumes office as NOUN’s fifth VC

Professor Olufemi A. Peters on Thursday assumed office as the fifth Vice-Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), succeeding Professor Abdalla Uba Adamu, whose five-year tenure ended on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

In a brief handover ceremony held at the university’s headquarters in Abuja, Peters, who was elected the Vice-Chancellor on December 3, 2020, described his predecessor as a man whose tenure would always be reckoned with in the annals of the university.

Outgoing VC appears in chieftaincy regalia

Outgoing Vice-Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Professor Abdalla Uba Adamu, in chieftaincy regalia after he was appointed as the "Abba ji Nmusa of Asaga Ukwu" (the "Pillar of Education"), in recognition of his outstanding effort in bringing higher education to the grassroots, in Ohafia, Abia State, during the commissioning of a NOUN study centre there on Saturday, 6th February, 2021.

VC hailed for midwifing CEMGS

The Director, Centre of Excellence in Migration and Global Studies (CEMGS), Prof. Hakeem Ibikunle Tijani, has commended the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdalla Uba Adamu, for facilitating the agreement between Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) and Morgan State University, USA that led to the establishment of the centre.
